Package Details & Policies
Where are all session lengths, package inclusions and payment rules listed?
Our Packages & Booking Policies guide lists every package, its price, session length, included coverage and minimum deposit. It also explains balance payments, cancellations and refunds.
How do I cancel online?
Use the private booking link in your confirmation email, then submit a cancellation request. Robert reviews the request before confirming cancellation. Online balance payments pause during review. Refunds are processed separately through Stripe according to the published policy.
Before Your Session
I’m not comfortable in front of a camera. Is that okay?
Absolutely. You do not need to arrive knowing how to pose or what to do with your hands. Robert will give you gentle direction, help you settle in and find the moments that feel like you. We’ll take it one step at a time.
What should I wear?
Start with something that fits comfortably and makes you feel good. Solid colors, soft textures and simple patterns tend to keep the attention on your face. Try everything on beforehand, including shoes. If you are bringing the family, choose colors that work together rather than making everyone dress exactly alike. You can always share your outfit ideas with Robert.
Should I bring a change of clothes?
A few outfit changes are recommended. Bring a small selection you love, perhaps something relaxed, something dressed up and a look that feels especially personal. Robert can help you decide what works with the setting and the time included in your session. We’ll also plan a comfortable place to change.
Where can we do the shoot?
At home, at your business, in a favorite outdoor spot or somewhere that means something to you. Robert will come to you throughout Southern California and help plan around the light, space and feeling you want. Beaches, parks and gardens can be lovely choices. Let’s confirm the location, access and any required permissions before the session.
What should I bring with me?
Bring your outfits on hangers, the shoes and accessories that go with them, water and a few small touch-up essentials. Meaningful items, such as a graduation cap, something from your wedding or a favorite family keepsake, can make the pictures feel more personal. Mention larger props in advance so we can plan space and time for them.
Can we include our pet?
Tell Robert about your pet when planning the shoot so we can choose a suitable location and check its rules. Bring a leash, a familiar toy and a little patience. If your pet will only be in a few pictures, a trusted helper can make the rest of the session easier.
Can Robert help me with a creative idea?
Yes. Bring the idea, even if it is only a feeling, a favorite color or a few photos you love. Robert has a creative eye and will help shape a session around your story. Whether the moment is quiet, playful or a little unexpected, the goal is to make it unforgettable.
On The Day
What happens when we arrive?
We’ll start by getting comfortable and talking through the plan. Robert will help with the setting, light and posing, then guide you as we go. You do not have to perform. Leave room for a little conversation, a little movement and the moments that happen naturally.
What if my children are shy or full of energy?
That is part of being a family. Bring a familiar toy, a favorite little comfort and anything your child needs for a break. Let Robert know what helps them feel at ease. We’ll work with their personalities and make room for real smiles rather than asking everyone to be perfect.
How should I prepare for maternity photos?
Choose a date when you feel comfortable and ready to celebrate this chapter. Bring outfits that feel good on you, and tell Robert about any comfort or mobility needs. You can come on your own or include your partner and family. We’ll plan poses and a setting that feel natural to you.
What if I’m running late?
Call or text Robert as soon as you can. Your session has a scheduled start and finish, and the light or the next appointment may limit how much we can extend it. We’ll talk through what is still possible. Arriving a little early gives you time to park, settle in and start without feeling rushed.
Can you accommodate accessibility or comfort needs?
Please tell Robert what will help you feel comfortable, whether that means step-free access, seated poses, a quieter setting or breaks. We can discuss the location and pace before the shoot. You do not need to explain more than you are comfortable sharing.
What if the weather changes?
For an outdoor session, we’ll keep an eye on the conditions and talk through the options. A different location or a new date may work better. Contact Robert if you are concerned; we’ll make a plan together. Any rescheduled date is subject to availability.
Booking & Next Steps
Where can I see services and prices?
Open Services to compare photography packages alongside the calendar. You can choose an available date and time, select your service and add optional extras. If you are unsure which service fits, ask Robert. We’ll help you find the right starting point.
How long is a session, and what is included?
The coverage and included details are listed with each package on Services. Outfit changes happen within that time. If you want multiple locations, a larger group or extra coverage, discuss it before booking so your plan has enough room. Prints, albums and additional editing are included only when your package says so or you add them.
How much retouching is included?
Check your package for its included premium edits. Robert can talk through the finish you want, from a natural portrait to a more creative treatment. Additional premium edits and Photoshop composites are available as extras. Tell us about a special request before booking so the work and price are clear.
Can I print or share my pictures?
We’ll clarify the image-use permissions with your package so you know how you can enjoy your photos. Tell Robert if the pictures are for a business, advertising or publication, because those uses may need different permissions. Ask about prints and albums if you would like something to hold onto.
Will my photos be used on the website?
Let Robert know your preferences before the session, especially for family and children’s photographs. Any permission to use your likeness for a portfolio or promotion should be discussed separately from booking the shoot. Paying for a session is not, by itself, permission to use your likeness in advertising.
When will I receive my photos?
Delivery depends on your package, the coverage and the editing you choose. Robert will confirm the delivery plan with you. If you have a special deadline, tell us before booking so we can discuss the available options.
Can I reschedule or give my booking to someone else?
You can request a new date with Robert, subject to availability. Bookings and payments are non-transferable, so they cannot be given or sold to another person. Contact Robert as soon as your plans change so we can work through the next steps.
How do booking payments work?
A minimum 25% deposit is required at booking. You may pay more or pay in full. The remaining balance is due at least 24 hours before the event starts, in Pacific Time. Bookings made within 24 hours of the event require full payment. Refunds follow the cancellation policy below. Save your private booking payment page to pay the balance; cards are not charged automatically.
Cancellation, Refund & Rescheduling Policy
Cancellations made at least 7 days before the scheduled appointment are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations made less than 7 days before the appointment are nonrefundable; however, clients may request to reschedule with Robert, subject to availability.
Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the appointment, as well as missed appointments, result in forfeiture of the full booking payment.
We understand that unexpected emergencies can occur. Requests involving serious illness, family emergencies or other extraordinary circumstances may be considered individually at management's sole discretion. Supporting documentation may be requested, and exceptions are not guaranteed.
Please review our Terms & Conditions for the complete booking policy.
